Using IT in Ophthalmic Care

Since we opened, I have been thinking about how to use IT to make things more convenient for both patients and staff.

This is an article I wrote a little over a year ago.

Using IT in Ophthalmic Care

In the past two months or so, we have renewed several things (listed below).

Apart from the 3bees booking system, almost everything could be done with existing apps.

We are preparing other improvements as well, keeping costs as low as possible.

○ Fill in on your own smartphone:Online questionnaire (web questionnaire)

→ Automatically converted into a single PDF so you can go straight to tests and the exam

○ For those who want to spend their wait in the shopping street or in their own car, we send an SMS to their mobile number

○ A booking systemspreads out arrival times

○ Display of wait times

○ Online consultations

○ Website (self-made) updated regularly
Since March 2021, we have moved to WordPress.

○ Creating handouts for patients (PDF)

○ Automatic collection and organization of the latest papers, and more

» Separating ophthalmic care in time and space

Thank you to the many of you who use these systems when you visit us.

We would be grateful for your comments on how to improve them. Thank you.
