“Livable Town”

I was told about an article introducing the Fujisaki area.

[Truly Livable Town Grand Prize 2019 in Fukuoka] No. 1: Fujisaki (Sawara Ward, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture)

: A convenient educational district with excellent access. The “western sub-center” with a full living environment

(From the same article)

Potential for growth:

Old-fashioned shops and new shops, and a calm shopping street.

Historic and atmospheric places such as “Momiji Hachiman Shrine” and “Sarutahiko Shrine,”

the pine-lined road toward Momochi,

a town that has kept the value of its old townscape.

Living environment:

Shopping streets (Fujisaki-dori Shopping Street – Takatori Shopping Street – Nakanishi Shopping Street – Nishijin Chuo Shopping Street – Orange-dori Shopping Street) line up from Fujisaki Station toward Nishijin Station, which is very convenient for everyday shopping.

Nearby public facilities: Sawara Ward Office / Sawara Citizen Center / Sawara Library / Momochi Gymnasium / Nishi-Fukuoka Tax Office / Sawara Ward Health and Welfare Center (Public Health Center)

A few minutes by car: Marinoa City Fukuoka (outlet mall) / AEON Marina Town (large commercial facility)

Within walking distance: Seaside Momochi Seaside Park / Fukuoka City Public Library / Fukuoka City Museum

* From the “Borui” intersection, the road heading in the direction where Fukuoka Tower can be seen, passing in front of the Seinan Gakuin University gymnasium and crossing “Yokatopia Street,” is convenient.

Convenient transportation:

Good access to the city center → 5 stops / 9 minutes on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line to Tenjin Station.

Bus routes in all directions from the Fujisaki Bus Terminal (Nishitetsu Bus).

Education and culture environment:

It is in the school district of Shuyukan High School,

and Seinan Gakuin University is next door; it is said to be one of the best educational districts in Fukuoka City.

There are many cram schools, English classes, and so on.

The learning environment is well developed, with libraries (2) and the Fukuoka City Museum.

Concerts and events are held regularly at the cultural facility “Momochi Palace” in front of Fujisaki Station, drawing people not only from the neighborhood but also from other parts of the city.

Takeru Eye Clinic is located a short walk from Exit 4 of Fujisaki Station, heading into the shopping street.

On the way,

• Daddy’s Cheesecake

• Floresta (doughnuts)

• Sunny Takatori store

• Konjo (bread)

and others, so detours are fun too.

In July there is the Takatori Shopping Street Saturday Night Market, and in October the Sazae-san Shopping Street Dream Festival (a festival of the shopping streets from Fujisaki Station to Nishijin Station), which bring large crowds.

We receive a great deal of help here. Thank you so much, always.

We are happy to be involved in the eye health of everyone in the community, and we carry out each day’s care carefully.

Thank you for your continued support.
