○ There is no change to our open days or hours.
○ We respond as usual to concerns about your eyes.
○ Please be sure to wear a mask when you visit.
○ We continue to ask that people with a history of overseas travel (within 14 days of returning), cold symptoms, or a fever refrain from visiting.
○ To avoid crowding in the waiting room, we are adjusting appointment slots and so on.
As of today (April 7, 2020), the times when the clinic is crowded have almost disappeared.
○ Depending on the number of people, we keep the automatic entrance door open.
○ In addition, our clinical staff (medical administrative staff, orthoptists, and doctor) are takingevery possible measureto prevent infection.
○ Our care now centers on responding to conditions that cannot wait, such as acute inflammation in uveitis, keratitis, fundus diseases, and glaucoma with unstable control, conditions where timing cannot be missed,• and on providing the care needed for other eye concerns.
○ Many conditions, such as cataract, are not urgent,
but if you have any symptom that worries you, please do not hesitate to see us.
○ Core hospitals such as Kyushu University Hospital are also greatly affected, with limits on outpatient visits and postponed surgery.
This week, for patients in real difficulty with a condition beyond the scope of our clinic (an orbital disease), a Kyushu University doctor was able to see them at a satellite site.
I am reminded of the importance of connections. Thank you so much.
○ If anything else is unclear, please contact us at any time.
Thank you for your understanding.
