The internet magazine “Sakumaga” interviewed us.
Coming from a non-medical background, I started the clinic with nothing to rely on.
As I thought and planned on my own, many people helped me. I am truly grateful.
We are in an age in which what was once common knowledge keeps changing.
In the past it was the era of paternalism: “I leave it to the doctor.”
- Is the future of my own (my child’s or family’s) eyes something to worry about or not?
- Is eye surgery or treatment necessary…?
Today, it is very important for patients too to understand their medical care.
It is very difficult for patients to understand “the eyes.”
Until five years ago I worked at university hospitals and many other facilities, and I truly felt how hard it is to explain.
I think it is because it is hard to picture what is inside the eye.
- To be able to explain the current state of the eyes to patients clearly,
- and to make it easier for medical staff to work,
I want to make use of existing IT.
I also place importance on keeping the cost for that as low as possible.
The usability of iPhone/iPad and Mac has been getting closer and is now almost the same.
(= people who use an iPhone find a Mac easy to use)
This self-made website is expanded with new content as appropriate.
We have also decided to start automated check-in within this month.
Using IT makes it easier for everyone to work and gives us much more time to explain things to patients.

To those in healthcare and IT:
