This month marks the clinic’s 5th anniversary.
At our small eye clinic in the Takatori Shopping Street, we are able to care for many patients.
Thank you all so much.
Ophthalmology is a field where equipment is advancing remarkably.
Care that was unthinkable not long ago is now within reach.
Since the beginning we have added medical equipment little by little,
and after five years we can now understand a great deal about the eyes.
(Details are also inlast year’s article).

When needed, I receive help, mainly from doctors connected with Kyushu University.
Thank you always.
Eye care in general, other than surgery:
・Care for uveitis, where you worry about when the inflammation will return
・Making tests easy for small children
・Care for foreign patients who want to describe their symptoms in English
・Explaining until you understand
All of us are working hard to provide care.
From spring 2024, new graduates will be joining us.
To those working with us and those who will join us:
Putting your heart into the patient
and thinking simply is all that is needed.
Medical professionals study for life, and we are preparing an environment for that.
I think keeping a calm mind is very important.
It has been several years since students on clinical placements began joining us.
I am glad that we can all take part in teaching.
We think together and put into practice the best form of “teaching” for motivated newcomers.
This lets us create a virtuous circle.
I am also grateful that our connections with the shopping street (Sazae-san Shopping Street) have grown even wider.
We were able to hold the Takatori Shopping Street Saturday Night Market together with many people.
Natsuki Tsuji ran a workshop for children, and the finished pictures are displayed in the clinic.
About music:
This year again, we are planning a Christmas concert at Culture Center Takatori on the afternoon of Sunday, December 17 (free admission).
Please wait a little for the details.
With a cappella singing by the Sains voice group from Seinan Gakuin University,
and a performance by a string group,
I hope to make it a concert that children enjoy.

“Glaucoma” is a very broad term. This article is about understanding your current state and, again, not letting it lead to excessive worry.
Finding “amblyopia” in a child has a major impact on the child’s life.
