For (follow-up) visual field tests, we ask that you make an appointment whenever possible.
It is an important test for following the course of glaucoma.
We perform a visual field test about once every six months.
Visual field tests are also used for detailed examination and follow-up of retinal and optic nerve disease.
- It is hard to phone during clinic hours.
- A gap opened up just beforehand, and you want to contact us even outside clinic hours.
To make things more convenient for patients, we decided to use LINE as well.
Besides phone calls, please contact us by LINE message.
Please send your name, ID, and preferred date and time.
We will reply after checking the medical record.
(1) Humphrey® visual field test : an automated perimeter. It takes about 5 minutes per eye.
Most tests are done this way. It can also be done on the same day for first-time patients when needed.
We use the Carl Zeiss Humphrey® Field Analyzer HFA3 840“(in the HFA 24-2C mode).
(2) Goldmann visual field test (GP): performed by an orthoptist. It can take 30 minutes to 1 hour.
The time for visual acuity tests and the corresponding waiting time are added.
Even on the same day, we will accommodate you as clinic availability allows.
If possible, please come with plenty of time.
